Professor Stephen Nicholls is a leading cardiologist and researcher focused on reducing heart disease risk through innovative clinical and translational research.

Professor Stephen Nicholls is a world-renowned cardiologist and Director of the Victorian Heart Hospital. He is an internationally recognised leader in cardiovascular research, with more than 770 published manuscripts, book chapters and conference proceedings, and has secured over $100 million in research funding.

Professor Nicholls is Deputy Director and Heart Health Theme Leader at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute, Professor of Cardiology at the University of Adelaide and a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He is also a Principal Research Fellow of the NHMRC. His research focuses on developing and translating new strategies to reduce the risk of heart disease, spanning preclinical research through to large-scale clinical trials.
