Dr Jo Milios is a Men’s Health Physiotherapist whose special interests include Prostate Cancer Rehabilitation, Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS), Peyronie’s disease (PD) and community exercise and yoga programs for men. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) from Curtin University in 1993, the big gap in Men’s Health services proved pivotal in her decision to further develop her skills in the field. Jo has recently completed PhD studies at the University of Western Australia, investigating quality of life outcomes following surgery for prostate cancer. In particular, non-invasive tests of pelvic floor muscle (PFM) function were developed and utilised in a large randomised control trial (RCT) aimed at improving continence and erectile function following radical prostatectomy.
