Associate Professor Scott Griffiths is a Principal Research Fellow whose work focuses on body image, eating disorders and the impact of social and cultural influences on mental health. His research explores the role of social media, muscle dysmorphia and anabolic steroid use, as well as the stigma surrounding mental disorders and related behaviours.
A/Prof Griffiths’ work aims to improve understanding, prevention and treatment of body image concerns and eating disorders, particularly among boys and men. He is widely recognised for his contributions to research that informs policy, clinical practice and public conversations around appearance pressures and mental health.
