Something wrong? Let's do something about it.

A lot of men put off visiting a health professional.

At Healthy Male, we want to encourage men to be proactive in looking after their health, which is why we created the ‘Spanner in the Works?’ booklet with the Australian Men’s Shed Association. This new booklet provides a general service and maintenance schedule including DIY tips for checking in on your own wellbeing and suggestions on when to go and visit your GP. Because it’s always better to check out a small problem before it gets bigger.

Maintenance and servicing in your 20s

You have your whole life ahead of you. This decade is all about newfound independence, fun and risk-taking opportunities as you finally take control of your life. Just be aware of the health issues that can affect your age group. And things that take their toll on your health: too much booze, smoking, drugs, sexually transmitted diseases, and self-inflicted accidents. Be aware of your mental health too, as young men are vulnerable to emotional issues that can lead to self-harm and suicide.
